Alphatek has launched a server virtualization project to virtualize it's entire data center utilizing Microsoft's Hyper-V technology. 

"Weve calculated that the cost of power and cooling with our newest HP servers running Hyper-V is 70% - 80% less than our existing servers running in a traditional physical enviroment. This cost advantage helped us to decide on which types of servers to choose. But the savings dont end there, we are realizing that there is a big reduction in cabling and rack space not to mention that there is a drastic ammount of administrative time savings in provisioning and maintinaing the virtual servers"  says Eric.
